Using the bookmarklet to subscribe to a blog or site with Fever, a self-hosted RSS newsreader from Shaun Inman, will display all feeds found for that site (in this cropped example—Steam’s collection of gaming and product blogs—the site has around 20 feeds, and Fever found all of them). You can subscribe to only the feeds you want and customize which group(s) to add each feed to. Once you click “subscribe” at the bottom, the subscriptions are added, and you are redirected back to the page you were originally browsing.
MobileMe Mail's compose window is now bookmark-able
Like the unofficial Gmail bookmarklets, you can now bookmark the ‘compose new message’ window of MobileMe Mail. As long as you’re logged in, visiting the link above will create a new composition window with all the contact auto-complete and rich text editing tools you need.
Strangely, while sending a message from this window seems to work, the window does not appear to display proper feedback. Clicking the send button will display a typical Mac OS X “spinner” progress UI and a “Sending…” message, and even though sending works, that progress UI never changes. Hopefully, the MobileMe team can fix this UI quirk and keep this convenient way to send messages.

The signup form at VaultPress, Automattic’s new backup service for WordPress sites, eschews the traditional, vertical layout with some unique design tricks.
If you mis-enter credentials in the login form at Apple’s MobileMe site, it will shake and wipe out the incorrect password to help reinforce the fact that you goofed up - just like the login form on a Mac.
A bookmarklet for using Google Reader Play on any site
Mihai Parparita, a Google employee who works on Reader and other products, created a bookmarklet for using any RSS-enabled site in Play, a more visual way to explore feeds.
If you subscribe to a lot of sites in Google Reader, the unread count badges next to feeds, folders, and tags either become meaningless cruft or pressure for an unobtainable “inbox zero” goal. Fortunately, you can turn off the unread count from the Subscriptions menu. This toggle only works across your entire account, however, and is not available on a per-feed or per-folder basis.
YouTube displays video frames during upload

YouTube displays the actual frames of a video as an upload progresses. I doubt this works in every browser, though.

A Sublime HTML5 web video experience
If you’ve been waiting for an beautiful and functional web video experience that doesn’t involve Flash then the wait may finally be over. The SublimeVideo HTML5 Video Player has nearly everything you want from an web-based video player; no browser plugin, custom style controls, full-screen mode (complete with sexy transitions) and fast video scrubbing. It’s missing volume control but that’s in the works.
Browser compatibility is only limited to Safari and Chrome at the moment but Firefox support is on it’s way. Internet Explorer compatibility will also be added but will only do so by falling back to Flash.
Tumblr: Ask a question in your post, let people answer
If you want to have a post on Tumblr in which people can post an “Answer,” the posting interface displays the option as long as you end the post with a question. Both existing Tumblr users and non-Tumblr users can answer in a form that appears on the post.
